Linnea A. Czeh, 93, died Friday, August 11, 2006 at Greenbush Community Nursing Home, Greenbush, MN.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Alemayehu Tulu officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Linnea A. Westberg was born on August 19, 1912 in Linsell Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Lundh) Westberg. Her parents and oldest sister immigrated to America in 1909 from Sweden and settled in the Randen Ridge area. She attended the Randen School in Marshall County.

On January 12, 1934, Linnea was united in marriage to Walter Czeh and they lived near Gatzke, MN. They shared 69 ½ years of marriage. Her concern for a good education for her six children moved them to rural Thief River Falls, MN. Linnea worked at both Peterson Biddick and Land O Lakes processing plants for a period of 26 seasons and had great pride about having her job.

In July of 1979 and 1981 she made trips to Sweden to visit relatives. Her first trip was 70 years after her parents immigrated to America and she was the first immediate family member to return to Sweden. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, crocheting, bingo, trips to the casino and especially spending time with family. She was so proud of her family.

In the fall of 1997 they sold their home and had an auction and moved into Pioneer Court in Thief River Falls. Due to failing health, Walter and Linnea moved to the Greenbush Nursing Home in April, 2003. This is where Linnea called home and had many great outings with the activities there.

Linnea was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN.

Linnea is survived by 5 children: Lois (Harold) Anderson, Park River, ND, son-in-law, DuWayn (Karen) Thygeson, Thief River Falls, MN; Wayne (Patricia), Roseau, MN, Bette (Wayne) Holmgren, Roseau, MN, Judy (Larry) Everson, Minneapolis, MN and Jeanne (David) Cloutier, Hudson, WI; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Robert Westberg, Marysville WA; and Evert Westberg, Hibbing, MN, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Walter on August 2, 2003; daughter, Wenda Thygeson; infant son; infant great grandson, parents, sister Elsie Morrissey, and 2 brothers Einar and Leonard Westberg.
