Lisa Marie Sandberg, 47 of Erskine, MN formerly of Red Lake Falls, MN died unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2013 at her home in Erskine, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend John Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday 5 -8 PM with a 6:00PM prayer service at the St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN and also one hour prior to services at the church on Sat. Lisa Marie Sandberg was born October 8, 1965 daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Landman) Benoit at Red Lake Falls, MN. She attended school in Red Lake Falls and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1984. On June 22, 1985 Lisa was united in marriage to Allyn Sandberg at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls. In August of 1985 they moved to Erskine where they have since resided. Lisa had a daycare from 1987 until 1991 when she began working at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine where she was presently employed with 21 years of service. She also worked part time at Poplar Meadows and Fuel and Things. Lisa enjoyed gardening, visiting, family gatherings, attending local sporting events that her kids were involved in and she had a thing for bird houses. She is survived by her husband Allyn of Erskine, MN; Cory (friend Casey Lindseth) of Erskine, MN; Mathew (friend Brittany Kerssen) of Erskine, MN; and Nicole (John) Lewis of Bemidji, MN: Mother Lorraine Benoit of Red Lake Falls, MN; sister Lorae (friend Lennie) Benoit of Red Lake Falls, MN: nieces and nephews Tyler Miller of Thief River Falls, MN; Ashley Miller of Red Lake Falls, MN; Jeremy Miller of Indiana; Allyssa Sandberg, Nicholas Sandberg, and James Sandberg of Buffalo, MN. Lisa is preceded in death by her father Robert Benoit; grandparents Fred Landman Sr., Mabel Landman and Irene Benoit and father -in-law Vernon Sandberg.
