Lloyd W. Dyrdal, 69 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 22, 2017 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral service to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Burial will take place at a later date at the Camp Ripley Minnesota Veteran's Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held Tuesday September 26, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Troy (Dara) Dyrdal of Thief River Falls, MN, Melissa (Tim) Nelson of Baxter, MN, Brent (Sarah) Dyrdal of Thief River Falls, MN, Tony (Liz) Dyrdal of Wilmar, MN, and Robert (Sam) Dyrdal of Winona, MN; grandchildren, Christopher, Kendra, and Alexander Dyrdal, Faith, Ella, and Brady Nelson, Bree Dyrdal, Chloe Dyrdal, Morgan and Madison Dyrdal; sister, Susie (Jim) Sonnenfeld of Winona, MN; brother, Terry (Shelley Legg) Dyrdal of Thief River Falls, MN; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Helen Dyrdal; brother, Roger Dyrdal Sr.; sons, Jamie and Jason Dyrdal; granddaughter, Marissa Dyrdal; nephew, Roger Dyrdal Jr.; brother-in-law, Orville McQuiston; along with all of his military brothers and sisters.
