Lloyd LaVerne Mostrom, 69, died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Plaza Del Rio, Hospice of Arizona, Peoria, AZ.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mary Gilthvedt officiating. Burial will be at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery, rural Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be from one hour prior to service at the church, Wednesday.

Lloyd LaVerne Mostrom was born February 26, 1937 in Trail, MN, Pennington County, the son of Leonard and Sabena (Jazdzyk) Mostrom. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and attended school in Goodridge, MN. In 1954 he went to Minneapolis and worked various jobs. Lloyd entered the United States Army on June 21, 1960 and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged, June 14, 1962. In 1966 Lloyd started as an OTR semi driver, which he did until his retirement in 1999.

In his earlier days Lloyd enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing cards, fast cars and now he enjoyed the Arizona winters. He loved spending time with his companion, Marian Schroeder. He was a member of Rockford Masonic Lodge #62, Zuhrah Shrine Temple, Minneapolis, MN and American Legion Post #062, Peoria, AZ.

Lloyd is survived by his companion, Marian Schroeder; Marians children, Kristi Anderson, Diane (Bruce Solberg), Lisa (Bob Williams), Kurt (Geri) and Troy; Marians 11 grandchildren, who called him "Grandpa Lloyd" and her great grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Verna) Mostrom, Cedar, MN; one sister, Delores (Marvin) Roisland, Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Sabena Mostrom; brother, Arvey; sister-in-law, Rosalie; grandparents, John and Mary Jazdzyk and Alfred and Johanna Mostrom; and one nephew, Steve Roisland.
