Lois Simons was born on July 7, 1937 to Clarence and Agnes (Mortensen) Hedquist in Warren, MN. She was raised in Warren, MN and graduated from Warren High School with the Class of 1955.

Lois married Marshall Simons in 1958. To this union, three sons were born, Kent, Chris, and Matthew. Lois and Marshall lived in Thief River Falls, MN for thirty years. The couple moved to Minneapolis in 1989.

One of Lois's greatest joys was the birth of her only grandchild, Joseph Marshall. She also enjoyed her gardens for many years and sewing quilts and giving them away.

Lois is survived by her sons Kent, Chris, and Matthew; grandson Joseph; brothers Richard Hedquist, Don (Sharon) Hedquist, Leroy Hedquist, and Tom Hedquist; sister Gloria Casey, and Susan Krueger.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband Marshall; her parents; sisters Mary Hedquist, Debra Zacharda, Doris Krogh, and Joyce Crocker; brothers Paul Hedquist, and George Hedquist; father and mother -in-law Harry and Adelia Simons.
