Lola Harmoning of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at her home at the age of 78.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, with Reverend Gary Graff officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls.  Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church.

Lola Jean Gwin was born on August 1, 1937 to Louis Raymond "Ray" and Nora (Stucker) Gwin.  in the Ada, Minnesota hospital.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Lola went to country school and high school in Ulen, MN.

On April 7, 1966 Lola was united in marriage to Robert M. Harmoning who adopted her three children – Vickie, Sherry, and Kevin.  Together they raised their family on the farm and later in town.

Lola worked in the 70's at The Spot as a bartender, then scoring for smear tournaments.

Lola was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and helped there with weddings and other events.

Her pastimes were completing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, reading, and visiting with friends, and spending time with her family.  Every fall Lola was busy canning the fruits of their garden.

Lola was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert of 49 years, children, Vickie (Duane) Sebenaler, St. Hilaire, MN, Sherry (Wes) Largis and Kevin (Michelle) Harmoning of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren, Shane (Mya) Zutz, Thief River Falls, MN, Paula (Jared) Comstock, Thief River Falls, MN, Bridget Reinke of Lisbon, ND, Jenny (Marty) Howes, Warroad, MN, Travis Samshal, Jamestown, ND, Tony (Tami) Casavan, Fisher, MN, Tya Harmoning, Pueblo, CO, and Destiny (Jarvis) Kuznia, Red Lake Falls, MN; Step-grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Lapin, Woody Creek, CO, Peter (Ginette) Sebenaler, Basalt, CO, Ben (Rachael) Largis, Red Lake Falls, MN, and Matt (Megan) Largis, Thief River Falls, MN; great-grandchildren, Tayton, Gunner, and Gannon Zutz, Hayden Comstock, Dalton, Gavin, Silas and Nia Reinke, Catherine and Gage Thompson, Ethan, Aria, and Evret Casavan, and Audrina and Londyn Kuznia; step-greatgrandchildren, Hailey Lapin, Isabella and Mackenzie Sebenaler, Kiera and Aubree Largis and Chloe Largis; brother, Joseph "Buster" (Adeline) Gwin; sister, Joyce Matson, sister-in-law Barbara Gwin, brother and sister in law Calvin and Susan Harmoning, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Irene Palmer, Iva Norman, Dolly Geizler, brother Walter Gwin, brother-in-laws, Ruel Palmer, David Norman and Willie Matson, father and mother in law Clarence and Elsie Harmoning and brother in law Harlan Harmoning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Bethany Lutheran Church Furnace Fund.
