Obituary

Lonny Tyke Colden, 42, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 2 PM, Monday, July 11, 2005 at Evangelical Covenant Church, Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Merrill Kindall officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be 12 " 2 PM, Monday, July 11, 2005 at Evangelical Covenant Church, Thief River Falls.

Lonny Royal Colden was born April 30, 1963 at Warroad, MN, the son of Daryl and Sharon (Johnston) Colden. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Warroad. He grew up and attended Warroad grade school and high school. He attended Northland Community and Technical College earning a degree in Architectural Drafting and Computer Aided Design.

Tyke entered the United States Navy March 26, 1981 and was honorably discharged May 28, 1985 at an E-4 rank. He served on the USS Spruance as a sonar technician.

In December 1984, Tyke was united in marriage to Susan Estegard from New York and divorced approximately 3 years later.

Tyke was a cabinet maker, truck driver, worked construction, remodeled houses and was a logger. He enjoyed hunting, camping and restoration of vintage vehicles.

He is survived by a daughter, Christine Colden, California; mother, Sharon Seurer, Thief River Falls, MN; brothers, Bart Colden, Thief River Falls, MN, Brett Colden, Red Lake Falls, MN and Brandon Seurer, Thief River Falls, MN and grandmother, Elma Johnston, Thief River Falls, MN.

Tyke was preceded in death by father, Daryl Colden; brother, Lenny Colden; 2 grandfathers and 1 grandmother.
