Obituary

Loren Austin Borsheim was born July 8, 1930, at Barnesville, MN, the son of Art B. and Dagney (Johnson) Borsheim. He grew up in Barnesville and was baptized and confirmed at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Barnesville. He then moved with the family to Thief River Falls, MN, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He attended Dunwoody Business College, Minneapolis, MN, where he took up printing. He entered the United States Army on December 26, 1950 and received his honorable discharge on September 15, 1951.

He served as a volunteer fireman in Thief River Falls for 20 years. He was the past commander of the American Legion Post in Thief River Falls. He was the past president of the Eagles Aires. He was a past president of the Pennington County Sportsman Club and also Jaycees. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.

In May of 1961, Loren was united in marriage to Gladys Elaine Fredrickson. To this union one son, Murray was born. He and his brother Milan started Borsheim Printing in 1960.

He loved to hunt and fish. He was a great handyman and carpenter.

Survivors include daughter, Lynette Dennis, Proctor, MN; son Murray (Laurie), Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Milan (Elaine), Bagley, MN and Kenneth (Helen) Eau Claire, WI.; brother- in- law Bruce Biddick, Uvalde, TX; two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, one sister Vivian Biddick and step-father Harry Schuster.
