Loris Parr, 92, passed away on Monday April 22, 2019 at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2019  at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Mentor, MN with Father Joseph Richards Officiating. Burial will be held at First English Cemetery, Mentor, MN (private).

Loris Swain Lindemoen was born July 28, 1926 at Oslo, MN, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Westman) Lindemoen.  She was baptized and confirmed at Bigwoods Lutheran Church.  She attended country school and graduated from Oslo High School, Oslo, MN.

On January 28, 1946, Loris was united in marriage to Douglas Lee Parr.

Loris held various jobs, like picking potatoes, working at Darcy's Café, Miller's as a dishwasher, Fresh Eat, A&W as prep cook, American Crystal Sugar and New Heights Elementary School in the school lunch program.  She liked reading and working word-finds.

She is survived by 7 children: Carolyn (Ronald) Gauthier, Minneapolis, MN, Jane (James) McCann, Grand Forks, ND, Patricia (Roger) Juve, AZ, Dennis (Jackie) Parr, Bismarck, ND, Dale Parr, Moorhead, MN, Jennifer (James) Deitz, Grand Forks, ND and Nancy (Jerome) Schmit, Trail, MN; 18 grandchildren: 34 great-grandchildren: 3 sisters-in-law, and 1 brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by husband Douglas on August 26, 2009; a grandson, Casey Parr; parents; brothers: Lowell, Arden and Dickie Lindemoen and his twin and a sister, Bonita.
