OBITUARY NOTICE FOR LORRAINE JOHNSON

JOHNSON FUNERAL SERVICE, THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN

Lorraine Johnson, 77, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11 AM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, Minnesota with a prayer service at 6 P.M. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Hannah Cemetery in Hannah, ND.

Lorraine Rosezella Gunn was born in Hannah, ND on May 18, 1931 to Benjamin and Lottie (Skeene) Gunn. She graduated from the Hannah High School and married Wayne McLean in 1950. To this union four boys were born, Steve, Donald, Howard, and Kip. Together they farmed for several years before Waynes death in 1966. Lorraine married Irwan A. Johnson on November 22, 1967. He passed away in 1998. After Irwans death, Lorraine moved to Thief River Falls, MN to be closer to her family.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She spent countless hours crocheting, sewing and painting pictures and murals of life on the farm. She was a member of the Elks, and VFW Auxiliary in Devils Lake, ND.

Lorraine is survived by sons, Steve (Linda) McLean of St. Paul, MN, Donald (Diane) McLean of River Falls, WI, Howard (Jody) McLean of Argyle, MN, and Kip (Norma) of Thief River Falls, MN, grandchildren, Jeremy (Sondra) McLean, Jason (Connie) McLean, Melissa (Dan) Pulgish, Lisha, Jason, and Wayne McLean, Kevin (Joetta) McLean, Benjamin (Selena) McLean, Ashley (Lee) Seyller, Kelly McLean; and brother Richard Gunn of Devil Lakes.

She is preceded in death by husbands Wayne McLean and Irwan A. Johnson; brother Donald Gunn; and sister Charlotte.
