Louis Zutz, Jr. was born on March 28, 1929 in Wylie Township, the son of Louis and Frieda (Busse) Zutz, Sr. He was baptized in April of 1929 and confirmed in April of 1944. He attended Black River School. Louis was in the National Guard from 1945-1951. He served in Korea from February 10, 1951 to January 20, 1953.

Louis was united in marriage to Pearl Cameron in 1976.

Louis was self- employed as a Line Pole Inspector, working for Donal Inc., R E A, Minnkota and Roseau Electric, until his retirement. Following his retirement he was bartender at Swedes Bar.

Louis enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing, deer hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, road tripping with his buddies, watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.

He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN, American Legion in Red Lake Falls and the VFW in Thief River Falls.

Louis is survived by his children: Wayne Cameron of East Grand Forks, MN, Randy Berg and his fianc, Judy of Thief River Falls, MN, Lori Davidson and her special friend, Mike of Big Lake, MN, Tammy (Tim) Koste of Perley, MN and Mitch Wilebski and special friend, Nikki of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren: Tina, Shane, Dallas, James, Annie and Dylan, Jacob and Katie and Tyler and Victoria; one brother, Tim Zutz and his fianc, Deb of Red Lake Falls, MN; sisters: Marjorie Walters of Atlanta, GA, Betty (Bud) Kruse of St. Hilaire, MN, Janet (Jerome) Skjerping of Thief River Falls, MN, Laurel Pastir-Norbert of Roseau, MN, Connie (Larry) Kennedy of Grand Forks, ND and Karen (Bill) Philion of Minot, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; his parents; son-in-law, Dean Davidson; and several aunts and uncles.
