Obituary

Lowell Lindemoen, 77, died on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad, MN.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the St. Josephs Catholic Church in Middle River, MN with ____________ officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Middle River, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Middle River, MN with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Lowell Wendell Lindemoen was born on October 4, 1929 on the family farm in Big Woods Township, Marshall County, MN to Richard and Anna Caroline (Westman) Lindemoen. He grew up in the Big Woods Township area attending country school.

Lowell was united in marriage to Geraldine Landreville on October 10, 1950 in Argyle, MN. They lived in several places including rural Thief River Falls, Hallock, Lancaster, Viking, and Newfolden. They have resided on a farm west of Newfolden for the past 35 years. Lowell farmed all of his life, but also was a car salesman for several years. He worked at Glen Olson Motors in Warren, and also Northern Motors in Thief River Falls, MN.

Lowell served as chairman of the National Farmers Organization (NFO) and also served on the Middle River-Snake River Watershed Board.

He enjoyed summer fishing, and traveling. He and Geraldine spent 11 winters in Arizona. He also enjoyed bowling in his younger years, playing cards, and was a great dancer. He has resided at the Karlstad Nursing Home for the past 1 ½ years.

Lowell is survived by his wife Geraldine of Newfolden, MN; 8 children: Susan (John) Nelson, Newfolden, MN; Norman (Linda) Lindemoen, Newfolden, MN; Bonita (Pidgy) Bengtson, Middle River, MN; Merlyn (Terri) Lindemoen, Newfolden, MN; Keith (Carla) Lindemoen, Roseau, MN; Michael (Sue) Lindemoen, Newfolden, MN; Allen (Sheila) Lindemoen, Randolph, NB; Randy (Kari) Lindemoen, Warren, MN; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 siblings: Loris (Douglas) Parr, Mentor, MN; Arden (Janet) Lindemoen, Welch, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 siblings Bonita Ann in a car accident at the age of 3 months, Richard in a train accident in 1949, and Richards twin brother was stillborn.
