LuAnn M. Giles, Loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, and Friend, of Forest Lake MN, formerly of Thief River Falls MN, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2020 at the age of 77.

A Celebration of LuAnn's life will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 7 ^th , with visitation beginning at 10 AM, at Johnson Funeral Service - Thief River Falls.  Interment in Holt Cemetery – Holt MN.

LuAnn "Sam" was passionate about children, education, and family. She was a teacher, a manager, and a scout. She loved to quilt, was devout in her Lutheran faith, and active with her church.

Preceded in death by her other-half, James "Jim"; parents, Lawrence & Angeline Lubitz; sister, Linda Lubitz.

Survived by children, Mary (Mark) Jaspers, John (Jessica), William (Teresa); grandchildren, Thomas, Christian, Johnny, Lisa; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Sandy) Lubitz, Terry (Joan) Lubitz,; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
