Lucille Cota, 72, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, March 20, 2000 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday March 24, 2000 at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Lucille Marie Marleau was born October 23, 1927 daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Huot) Marleau near Red Lake Falls, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Dorothy Church in Dorothy, MN. She was raised near Red Lake Falls and graduated from Lafayette High School. On November 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to Adelore Cota in Red Lake Falls. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls where she owned and operated the Vogue Dry Cleaners and ran the Montgomery Ward catalog store for a number of years, retiring due to health in 1991.
Lucille prided herself with her family. She enjoyed making quilts, playing cards, gardening and fishing. She was in a bowling league and was treasurer of the Legion Auxiliary for many years.
She is survived by her husband Adelore Cota of Red Lake Falls, MN: children Jerome (Gale) Cota of Thief River Falls, MN; Shirley (Scott) King of Maplewood, MN; Carol (Tom) King of Warroad, MN; Alan Cota of Red Lake Falls, MN and Mike (Kathy) Cota of Moorhead, MN. 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Lawrence Marleau and Kenny Marleau.
