Lucille Lehrer, 91, died on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Michael Eminger officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery, Wylie Township, Red Lake County, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 20, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Monday evening and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Lucille Busse was born August 10, 1914 on the family farm in Browns Creek Township, Red Lake County the daughter of Henry and Louise (Weiss) Busse. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Wylie on September 27, 1914 and also confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Lucille attended the Little Red School House in Browns Creek Township.

On October 20, 1936, Lucille was united in marriage to Ruben Lehrer at her parents farm in Brown Creek Township of Red Lake County. The couple lived on and farmed the Lehrer family farm in Browns Creek Township.

Lucille enjoyed being a homemaker on the family farm. She also enjoyed music especially playing the piano. Ruben, her husband of 63 years, passed away on February 25, 2000.

Lucille was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls where she was active in Ladies Aide and played piano for Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include her son, Andrew Mike Lehrer of Red Lake Falls, MN; 3 grandchildren, Mark (Jodi) Lehrer, Brian (Linnea) Lehrer, and James Lehrer; 5 great grandchildren, Marissa, Kylie, Trandon, John and Julia all of Thief River Falls, MN; 2 sisters, Alma Zwingelberg of Kansas, and Geraldine Flage of Red Lake Falls; and special friend Karen Longtin of Thief River Falls, MN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; great-grandson, Thomas Lehrer; 5 brothers, Harold, George, John, Albert and Adolph; and 3 sisters, Sophie Busse, Frieda Zutz, and Marie Lehrer.
