Lucille Emma Ostgard was born September 17, 1916 daughter of the late Joseph and Permelia (Champagne) Perreault at Terrebonne, MN. She attended school in Terrebonne. She was united in marriage to Thomas Plante in 1931 in Terrebonne. Lucille moved from Brooks to Crookston in 1958 with her children. She worked at the Crookston Hotel Caf for several years. She was known for her great cooking and baking. She married Kermit Ostgard June 29, 1962 at Crookston. They moved to Red Lake Falls in 1967 where they managed the Lincoln Hotel until Kermits death in 1975. She lived at Sunset apartments before moving into the Hillcrest Nursing Home in 2002.

Lucille is survived by her 5 children Sherman (Jean) Plante of Red Lake Falls, MN; Shirley (Bob) Elliott of Moorhead, MN; Janice (Arnold) Lillo of Good Thunder, MN; Larry (Janice) Plante of Mankato, MN and Bonnie (Ernie) Won of Madelia, MN. Three step children Donna (Leon) Thorson of Climax, MN; Kenneth (Pat) Ostgard of Glendale, AZ and Benita (Ken) Rud in California: 22 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 24 step great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Three sisters Ezibelle Rottoli of Reseda, CA; Betty Stephenson of San Razito, CA and Delores Brown of Mankato, MN; a daughter-in-law, Joy Plante; a very special niece, Judy Olson and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her 2 husbands, 3 infant children, son Darel Joe Plante February 15, 2003, her parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
