Luella Mohr, 77, died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN

Service of the Word will be 9:30 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be 2:30 PM, Saturday at St. Henrys Cemetery, Perham, MN with Father David J. Rieder presiding.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home on Saturday.

Luella Catherine Sazama was born May 3, 1927 at St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Matt and Lenora (Przybylski) Sazama. The family lived in the Perham and Richville, MN area, where Luella was raised and attended school. She worked on the family farm until her marriage to James A. Mohr, September 9, 1947, which took place at Perham.

She also worked as bookkeeper for the elevators that Jim managed throughout Minnesota and Montana. The couple settled in Red Lake Falls in 1964. In June of 1975, they moved to Forsyth, MT. Jim died April 29, 1979 and Luella moved to Indiana in 1979 to live with her daughters. She moved to Red Lake Falls in 1985 where she has since resided.

Luella was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Guild of Red Lake Falls. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, but especially loved spending time on the farm with the animals.

Survived by son, Michael (Marjorie) Mohr, Red Lake Falls, MN; daughters, Kathy Duffy and Debbie Kieckbusch, all Red Lake Falls; 4 grandchildren, Sara Duffy, Lori and James Kieckbusch and Jonathan Mohr; a great grandson, Dylan; 2 sisters, Georgie Lehman, Perham, MN and Estella Koral, Hutchinson, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, parents and an infant brother.
