OBITUARY NOTICE FOR LuVERNE FELLING
Brooks, MN

Luverne Felling, 71, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at his home in Brooks, MN.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 11, 2002 at 10:00 AMat St. Joesphs Catholic Church, Brooks, MN with Father Timothy McGee celebrating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Luverne Bernard Felling was born August 26, 1930, at Belgrade, MN, the son of Michael and Helen (Kuefler) Felling. He grew up and attended school in Sauk Centre, MN.

On August 16, 1950, Luverne was united in marriage to Dellas Robidoux at Fort Riley, KS. He served in the U. S. Army for 21 years. He earned the Bronze Star with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. He served in Japan, Okinawa, Iran, Vietnam and various posts stateside. After Luverne retired from service out of Belleville, IL, in 1969, the couple made their home on a farm near Brooks, MN and in 1989, they moved into Brooks. After retiring from farming, Luverne worked as a foreman in the welding shop at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, MN. He also worked at various jobs.
He was a member of the American Legion Post of Plummer, MN and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Luverne liked to tinker with old equipment and enjoyed talking with people.

Survivors include wife, Dellas; 3 daughters, Delyne (Gerry) Mattison, Plummer, MN, Cheryl (Don) Scott, St. Hilaire, MN and Kim (David) Panozzo, Scottsdale, AZ; a son, Kenneth, Dallas, TX; 8 grandchildren, Ivan Hirst, Shayne, Scott, Nicholas Waldal, Delanie (Bob) Merrill and Heath Rosten, Courtney and Nicole Panazzo; 2 sisters, Yvone (Ken) Korte, Roseville, MN and Lynette (Dan) Jesh, White Bear Lake, MN; 3 brothers, Ronald (Pat), Highland, IN, Mike (Judy) Sauk Centre, MN and Harvey (Darlene), Bloomington, MN.

Preceded in death by parents, and a sister, Phyllis Korte
