Lynn D. Brosseau, 85, passed away on Thursday May 18, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:30 PM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Rick Lambert Officiating.  Burial will be in St. Edward's Cemetery in Drayton, ND.

Visitation will be from 3 – 6 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service on Sunday, and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Lynn D. Brosseau was born on May 27, 1931 in Bowesmont, ND, the son of Joseph Eddy and Alma (Otstott) Brosseau.  He was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN and confirmed at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Crookston, MN. Lynn attended and graduated from Bowesmont Public School.  Following High School he attended North Dakota State of Science of Wahpeton, ND for two years.  Lynn served in the United States Army from April 1952 to March 1954.

Lynn was united in marriage to Mary Lou Gerou in 1955 at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Drayton, ND.

Lynn worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years.  He also built and remodeled houses. Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working in his yard.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Thief River Falls.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, Thief River Falls, MN; children: Tim (Patti) Brosseau , Karen (Bones) Lavelle, Tony Brosseau, Tom (Kim) Brosseau, Greg (Ann) Brosseau and Kristie (David Lansing);  grandchildren: Ben, Matthew and Sarah Brosseau,  Elizabeth Ellis, Chris, Nick and Brian Hill, Randy and  Gregory Brosseau, Kaylee, Alyssa and Andrew Lansing, Casey Goss, Loni Padilla, Kristen Hill, Shelby Hendricks, Jessica Ground; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces  and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Alma Brosseau; brothers, Herbert and Glenn; sisters, Dorothy Porter, Lucille Passa, Blanch Passa, Roberta Fauskin; and grandson, Steven Olson Brosseau.
