Lynn Chandler Josephson was born on December 15, 1929 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Alfred B. and Sadie (Roberts) Josephson. He was raised in Goodridge, MN with his brothers, Charles, Darel and Dan. Lynn and his brothers grew up in a family filled with music where each of them learned to play at least one musical instrument, if not more. Lynn graduated from Goodridge High School in 1947.
In December 1950, Lynn was united in marriage to Diana Ellingson. Together they made their home and raised their children in Minnesota, Wisconsin and California. Lynn enjoyed taking his family camping and fishing. These adventures have brought about many family tales that they will enjoy for a lifetime.
Lynn worked for the Railroad right after he and Diana were married. In 1952 their family moved to California where Lynn worked for Lees Brake Center for 18 years. His claim to fame is having the chance to work on unique automobiles in North Hollywood such as the original Batmobile, the Beverly Hillbillies car and some of Elvis Presleys cars. Lynn was baptized in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Sun Valley, CA in 1965 and was also confirmed along with his daughter Lynda the same day. He and his family moved back to Minnesota and made their home in Thief River Falls, where they have lived since then. Upon moving back to the area, Lynn accepted a position as a shop manager at JC Penney Auto Center. When the auto center closed, he went to work for the City of Thief River Falls, eventually retiring as the manager of the Thief River Falls Airport. Lynn continued to work after retirement in the maintenance department of the Best Western in Thief River Falls.
Lynns favorite hobbies included watching his favorite team, the Minnesota Twins. He enjoyed collecting scale model cars, vegetable gardening, cutting wood and spending time with his family. Lynn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a Past Master of the Masons, life member of the Royal Arch Masons and Past Patron of the Eastern Star. When Lynns sons and grandsons were young, he was actively involved in the Boy Scouts.
Lynn was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He adored all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and thought the world of them.
