Lynne Norberg,48 , died on Monday, November 21, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, November 25, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM-1 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Lynne Marie Norberg was born on September 11, 1963 to Daryl Vernon and Patricia Ann (Kroening) Norberg in Minneapolis, MN.  She moved to Thief River Falls in 1972.  She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1982 and then attended Northland Community College for nursing and received her LPN license.  She then moved to Grand Forks, ND and began working at Altru Hospital shortly after graduation.  She worked there for about two years.  Her health got bad and she was not able to continue working.  She continued living in the Grand Forks area for all of these years.

Lynne enjoyed fishing and deer hunting with her family.  Camping with her sister and nephews was also something that made her happy.  She loved to sing, especially with her mom.  They sang for many weddings, funerals, and special events at the church.  She also would sing in the church choir.  She also played the clarinet.  Her most recent past times included cooking and watching TV.  She especially enjoyed  watching Lizzard Lick and the food network.  She belonged to the Baptist Church in Thief River Falls.  She collected buttons and has several unique ones.  She also collected porcelain dolls and Coca-Cola memorbillia.  She was able to travel with her family often to almost all of the states in the USA, her favorite being Hawaii.  She loved her nephews so much, and has been there for them since the minute they were born.

She is survived by her Dad, Daryl Norberg, Thief River Falls, MN, one sister Julie Olson, Salol, MN, two nephews: Thomas and Nicholas Olson both of Thief River Falls, MN, one great nephew Hunter Olson, one great niece Choloe, several aunts and uncles.

Lynne was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Norberg in 2000, grandparents Alford and Virgie Kroening,  Lester and Florence Norberg.
