Mabel Landman, 86, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Rev. Rick Hensel officiating. Burial will follow in the Wylie Cemetery, Red Lake County, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.

Mabel Caroline Iverson was born on March 16, 1920 to Bennie and Molly (Onweiter) Iverson in Calvin, ND. She was baptized in her Lutheran faith in Calvin, ND and attended school there, until her parents moved to St. Hilaire, MN. This is where she finished her education. She was also confirmed in the Lutheran church in St. Hilaire.

Mabel was united in marriage to Frederick Wilhelm Landman on December 2, 1938 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wylie, MN with Rev. Paul Bergdorf officiating. They moved to Red Lake Falls in 1960 after farming most of their married lives.

Mabel started working at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN on September 9, 1963 until her retirement on September 9, 1999.

In her past time, Mabel made many crafts, including shawls, blankets, and dolls for her family and many others that enjoyed receiving her crafts.

Mabel is survived by 3 sons: William, Ralph (Carla), Fred (Janice), and 1 daughter Lorraine Benoit; son in law Ron Osmundson, all of Red Lake Falls, MN; 12 grandchildren: Larae, Lisa, Ralph, Tammy, Penny, Keith, Malissa, Fred III; Sharlene, Kevin, Ryan, Kristin, and 21 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Fred on October 15, 1971; parents, two daughters: Marie Carol Landman & Betty Lou Osmundson, and granddaughter Mary Ann Landman, 2 sisters: Gladys M. Slay, Ida Mae Nelson, 2 brothers: Walter and Clarence Iverson.
