Margaret Peggy Brown, 91, died on Sunday, August 4, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Dan Horn officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday.

Margaret Peggy J. Brown was born on March 12, 1911 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of John and Mae (Dieffenbaugh) Brown. She was baptized on October 18, 1920. She attended school in Thief River Falls graduating from Lincoln High School in 1932.

Peggy worked as a lab assistant at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls for 23 years. She also ran Peggys Uniform Shop in her home, selling nurses uniforms for many years. Peggy loved baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins. She also enjoyed reading, and growing African Violets. She is a member of the Methodist Church. She moved into CNC in 1997.

Peggy is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Verna) Brown of Seattle, WA; sister in law Verna (Oscar) Johnson of Thief River Falls, MN; nieces Patricia (Lowell) Anderson of Glencoe, MN, Darlene (Neil) Tulene of Bryan, TX, Beth (Keith) Wheeler of Thief River Falls, MN: nephews Donald LaFave of Puposky, MN; John Brown, Robert Brown, Ronald Brown, Dennis Brown and Richard Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Esther LaFave McKechnie; two brothers: Roy Brown and John Brown.
