Margaret Gamme, 75, died on Monday, March 21, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 25, 2005 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Jason Asselstine officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Erskine, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Margaret Frances Stennes was born on December 30, 1929 in Erskine, MN, the daughter of Halvor and Sina (Hegg) Stennes. She was baptized and confirmed at Gosen Lutheran Church and attended school in Erskine, MN. Margaret also attended Aakers Business School in Grand Forks for one year.

Margaret was united in marriage to Roger Gamme on June 10, 1956 at Gosen Lutheran Church. Margaret was employed at UND, where she worked for Dr. Thomas Clifford. She also worked for Paco Industries in Minneapolis, MN and Shell Oil of Tulsa, OK. The couple moved to Thief River Falls where she worked for Neil McEwen Law Office and John Navacek Law Office of Thief River Falls. Margaret was very proud of her career.

When the couple lived in Fertile, she enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, gardening, and being involved with her church where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed listening to Garrison Keillor, telling and writing stories, and getting together with her large family. Margaret was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was active in the church circle.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Roger of Thief River Falls, MN; three children: Sherry (Mike) Mercil of Cedar Rapids, IA, Michele (Bruce) Walker of Thief River Falls, MN and Rodd (Wendy) Gamme of Eagan, MN; grandchildren: Jim Gaylord of Duluth, MN, Andrew Mercil of Cedar Rapids, IA, Joey Mercil of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mike Walker of Thief River Falls, MN, Kristi (Ryan) Anderson of Newfolden, MN, Megan Gamme of Eagan, MN and Lauren Gamme of Eagan, MN; three great grandchildren: Dylan Walker of Goodridge, MN, Morgan Anderson of Newfolden, MN and Macey Anderson of Newfolden, MN; one brother, Alton (Joyce) Stennes of Hamilton, Montana; five sisters: Marilyn (Larry) Everett of Apple Valley, MN, Ione (Ray) Monger of Troutdale, OR, Hermoine Gangness of Des Moines, IA, Avis Bodahl of Bemidji, MN and Helen (Jerry) Bodahl of Backus, MN; sister-in-law, Virginia Dussell of Jackson, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Dussell and Len Gangness.
