Margaret Kotaska, 97, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Oakland Park Communities, Thief River Falls, MN

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Monsignor Timothy McGee presiding. Burial will be at St. Bernards Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church on Tuesday.

Margaret Elizabeth Dub was born January 24, 1911 to Bohumil and Mary (Cicha) Dub in Walsh County, near Pisek, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Catholic Church in Pisek, grew up and attended country school near Pisek. She worked at home on the family farm milking cows and doing domestic work.

Margaret met Charlie Kotaska at St. Johns Catholic Church in Pisek and there they married on June 19, 1934. The couple lived in Park River, ND from 1933-1941 and then moved to Greenbush, MN. In 1944, they moved to Thief River Falls, MN.

Survived by grandchildren, Gregory Kotaska, Scott Kotaska, Beth Lodahl and Maris Scheer, all White Bear Lake, MN; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Greenway, Columbus, OH, and Hermina (Rudy) Jehlicka, Highland Ranch, CO; brother, Leo Dub, Idaho.

Preceded in death by husband, Charlie, February 11, 1985, son, Wayne in 1995; parents, sisters, Irene, Lucy Oregan and Mary Thompson and 2 sisters in infancy, brothers, Joe, August, Bohumil and Willie.
