Marguerite Barth, 66 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Thief River Care Center with her loving family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

Marguerite Suzanne Burda was born January 26, 1956 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Gust) Burda. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Benwood, MN. She attended Middle River High School graduating with the class of 1974. Marguerite then attended the Technical College in Thief River Falls. Following college, she began her career in the medical field in Thief River Falls.

On October 20, 1979, Marguerite was united in marriage to Jack Garcia at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Middle River, MN and he passed away in 1999.

Marguerite worked 42 years in various job capacities, most recently in Scheduling.

On February 5, 2005, Marguerite was united in marriage to Dale Barth at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. The couple built their home in Agder Township, near Thief River Falls.

Marguerite enjoyed gardening, canning, yard work, and working in her flower beds. After her marriage to Dale, together they rode motorcycle and went to Sturgis several times; they had many passions including hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, cruising around the back roads in the '52 jeep, going to dinner and movies, they especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having the occasional beer. She'd say it's not a party until somebody "snorts"!

Marguerite could be described as "crazy" as she would say. She was smiley, happy, was the hug-master, her smile was welcoming and could light up a room. She was idolized by her nephews and nieces, and she loved spending time with them. Her laughing, snorting and giggles were priceless.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls where she sang in the choir. Marguerite enjoyed praying the rosary wherever that may be, in her vehicle, work, home or church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dale of Thief River Falls; mother, Rosalie Burda of Middle River; siblings, Angie (Gail) Steinhauer, Paul (Sandy) Burda, Rosalind (Robert) Bentow, Marilyn (Jim) Kukowski, Tony (Beth) Burda, Terri (Doug) Bentow, Dan (Kelly) Burda, Matt (Pixie) Burda, Karen (Dan) Espeseth, Alan (Kelly) Burda, and many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by mother-in-law, Bernice Barth; siblings of her husband, Dale, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and father, Frank Burda; father-in-law, Ray Barth; brothers-in-law, Glen Barth and David Barth; grandparents, Alex and Emma Gust.
