Marion Holte, 59, died Monday, September, 21, 2009 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2009 at Community Bible Church in Grygla, MN. Burial will follow at St. Olaf Cemetery in Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at church.

Marion June Botner was born June 11, 1950 in Alexandria, MN the daughter of Clifton and Olivia (Ellertson) Botner. She was baptized at East Moe Lutheran Church in Garfield, MN and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN. She attended school in Alexandria and graduated from high school in 1968. She then attended Nursing School in Thief River Falls for two years and became licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Marion then worked at Bethany Homes in Alexandria for a short time.

She was united in marriage to Timothy Holte on April 18, 1970 at East Moe Lutheran Church in Garfield, MN. To this union five children were born: Trevor, Jonathon, Jeddah, Joshua, and Jacklynn. With Tim serving in the United States Navy, they lived in Tennessee for a short time and in Maryland for 3 years where Marion worked as a nurse.

In 1974 they made their home in Grygla, MN. Marion worked at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls and at REM in Roseau, MN and she also worked at various other jobs.

Marion helped a lot on the farm; she loved to cook and try new recipes; she enjoyed camping, family gatherings, gardening, sewing, traveling, working with her horses, and was active with her kids in 4-H and school. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Grygla, MN where she was very active in Release Time, Kids Club, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.

Survivors include her husband, Tim of Grygla; children, Jonathan (Jenny) Holte of Powell, WY, Jeddah (fianc, Monique) Holte of East Grand Forks, MN, Joshua (fiance, Amanda) Holte of Red Lake Falls, MN, Jacklynn Holte of Grygla; grandchildren, Jordyn, Hunter, Haleigh, Makenzie and Nataya; parents, Clifton and Olivia Botner of Alexandria; brother, Robert (Kathy) Botner of Alexandria; sisters, Barbara (Jon) Johnson of Osage, MN and Donna (Jody) Holte of Grygla; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Trevor; and her grandparents.
