Marjorie Housker, 57, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital Northwest Campus, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Phil Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Marjorie Ellen (Ptacek) Housker was born on March 24, 1951 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Raymond and Ardith (Hruby) Ptacek. She was baptized and confirmed at United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969.

She was united in marriage to Gary Allen Housker in Thief River Falls. Marjorie worked for several years at Arctic Cat Inc. Marjorie was fond of sewing and quilting. She particularly enjoyed animals, surrounding herself with a wide assortment of cats, dogs, birds and rabbits. She also had a passion for shopping, rummage sales, and gardening.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary; 1 son Ray (Katrice) Housker of Lancaster, MN; 2 daughters, Carrie Genereux of Thief River Falls, and Jody (Kevin Irlbeck) Housker of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Hannah of Lancaster, MN, Tayler and Lindsey of Thief River Falls, MN, and Hayden of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother Eugene Ptacek of Alexandria, MN as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ardith; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
