Obituary

Mark Beito, 37 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away suddenly on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his residence.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Strathcona, MN.

Mark Gorman Beito was born on January 14, 1986 in Thief River Falls, MN to Timothy and LouAnn (Morken) Beito. He attended school in Thief River Falls and later Roseau, MN where he graduated from.

Following high school, Mark made his home in Crookston, MN where he lived with his father, Tim.

On January 1, 2014, Mark met the love of his life, Nichole Smits and just five short weeks later, found out they were expecting their first child, Erik. They were united in marriage shortly thereafter. They welcomed their daughter, LouAnn into the world in 2019.

Mark worked in various occupations throughout the years. He loved farm work and operating heavy machinery. Mark could run almost any piece of equipment. For the last six years, Mark operated a rotobeater for a farmer near Warren, MN; a job which he took a lot of pride in and thoroughly enjoyed.

He had a passion for music. He enjoyed summer and winter fishing and even had his own YouTube channel which he called Hook'd Up Outdoors. He also enjoyed camping, the outdoors, Chick-O-Stick, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, was committed spiritually to Norse Mythology, was very proud of his Norwegian heritage, and his favorite color was purple. Mark's family meant the world to him, especially his wife and kids.

Survivors include his wife, Nichole; children, Erik and LouAnn all of Thief River Falls; father, Timothy Beito of Fargo, ND; brother, Andrew Beito of Fargo, ND; sister, Jenny of Ellicott City, MD; grandmother, Rochelle Martinez of Belize; close nephews, Chase Beito and Jason Johnson; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, LouAnn and Jeffrey Hoard; grandparents; uncles, Gary Beito and Paul Beito; and several other relatives and friends.
