Mark Hasby, 39, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident, near St. Hilaire, MN
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire, MN with Reverend Terri Cuppett officiating. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Friday evening and at the church for one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Mark Dean Hasby was born on November 3, 1963 to Howard and Alice (Cork) Hasby in Warren, MN, a twin brother to Missy. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at Calvary Lutheran Church and attended Elementary School in St. Hilarie, MN, Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls. Mark attended AVTI in Thief River Falls for Auto Mechanics, graduating from the AVTI in 1983.
On December 21, 1984 Mark was united in marriage to Sharon Helm at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls and in January of 2001 they moved to St. Hilaire.
He worked for Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for a short time, Lakehead Pipeline for 6 months, Pepsi in Thief River Falls for a short time and at the Land O Lakes Turkey Plant in Thief River Falls. Most recently he was employed at the Seven Clans Casino, where he worked in kitchen maintenance.
Mark collected wolves and angels. He liked helping other people, worked on electronics and cars, was a fan of professional wrestling and liked to have fun. Mark was an excellent husband and father and was a very kind and good-hearted person.
Mark is survived by his wife Sharon of St. Hilaire, MN; one son Andrew of St. Hilaire, MN; his dad Howard Hasby of Thief River Falls, MN; two brothers: Tim Hasby (Special friend, Dori Lind) of Fisher, MN and Dale Hasby of St. Hilaire, MN; four sisters: Missy Iverson (Special friend, Dave Wilson) of St. Hilaire, MN, Lisa Benton (Special friend Mike Puetz) of Thief River Falls, MN, Lolly (Bruce) Boe of Oklahoma City, OK and Denise (Special friend, John Wayman) of Marysville, WA; 11 nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Hasby; half brother, Kenny Liebl; grandparents: Ernest and Lillian Cork and Henry and Martha Hasby; and one nephew, Bobby Iverson.
