Mark Schindler, 67, of Mentor, MN passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at HIA Heather's House in Fargo.

Mark was born on April 10, 1959, in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, to Eugene and Patricia (Amiot) Schindler. He was raised and educated in Red Lake Falls. He graduated from Climax High School in 1978. Mark developed the strong values of family, friendship, and community that remained with him throughout his life.

After graduating high school, Mark worked various jobs in the area. Mark became an over-the-road truck driver for various companies where he was able to visit all continental states. Mark enjoyed riding his Harley, riding his horses, fishing, camping, leather work, and mechanic work on his Jeeps.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Andrew (Joni) Schindler of Warroad, Minnesota; Patty (Roger) Piché of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota; Joan Dodds of Richland, Washington; Michael (Jackie) Schindler of West Fargo, North Dakota; Daniel (Carolyn) Schindler of Greenbush, Minnesota; Karen (Brian) Theroux of Princeton, Minnesota; Linda (Bill) Rivard of Baudette, Minnesota; and Darrell (Rachel) Schindler of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Patricia Schindler; his sister, Vivian Gorden; his brother, James Schindler; sister-in-law, Shelly Schindler; and brother-in-law, Jerry Gorden.

Mark's kindness, quiet strength, and presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 28, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, rural Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner officiating.
