Marlene Casavan, 68, died peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2009 at her home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Chuck Huck presiding. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake Falls.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls with a 7 PM Wake service and also for one hour prior to the funeral at the church, Wednesday.

Marlene Casavan was born June 7, 1941 in Crookston, MN to Jesse Casavan Sr. and Evelina (Zhorela) Casavan. She was baptized at St. Marys Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls, MN and attended school in Wylie, MN.

Marlene currently lived at Northwood Group Home, Red Lake Falls, where she enjoyed socializing and visiting, doing puzzles and listening to music. She liked going to work at the ODC in Thief River Falls, MN. Marlene always showed pride in her appearance and liked dining out and attending concerts. She previously resided at the group homes in Clearwood and Argyle.

Marlene is survived by her mother, Evelina; sisters and brothers, Helen (Ken) Wavra, Gloria (Ray) Delorme, Jesse Jr. (Dianne) Casavan, Carol (Larry) Fontaine, Larry Casavan, Edwin Casavan, John (Janet) Casavan; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her special caregivers at Northwood Group Home.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Casavan Sr.
