Marlyn Dessellier of Oklee, MN passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Essentia Hospital in Fosston, MN.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Oklee, MN with Father Adam Hamness officiating.

Visitation will be held 5:00 PM until 7:00 with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Oklee, MN. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service.

Marlyn Ernest Dessellier was born on March 7, 1944 in Oklee, MN, the son of Andrew and Alexina (Carriere) Dessellier.  He attended and graduated from Oklee High School in 1965.

Following high school Marlyn lived in North Carolina where he worked in a factory and Minneapolis where he was a Sears employee in the mailroom.  He moved back to the Oklee area in 1997 and has resided there until his death.

Marlyn's interests included the outdoors – feeding the birds and animals on his backdoor step.  He also enjoyed reading, painting oil pictures, and taking scenic pictures.

Marlyn is survived by his sisters and brothers, Cecelia "Sis" Christianson of Fargo, ND, Eugene (Margaret) Dessellier of Babbitt, MN, Joyce Tougas of Oklee, MN, Vincent (Shirley) Dessellier of Oklee, MN, and Angel Sunsdahl of Oklee, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Onezime, Paul, George, Alex, Louis, and David; sisters, Rosalie, Marie, Estele, Dola, Geraldine, and Carol; and many aunts and uncles.
