Marlys Erickson, 62, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 10 AM, Friday, February 24, 2006 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Gary Graff officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Friday.

Marlys Jeanette Hall was born February 9, 1944 at Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Bakke) Hall. Marlys was raised north of Thief River Falls and educated in Holt, MN. She attended high school in Newfolden, MN.

On September 11, 1960, Marlys was united in marriage to Dennis Erickson in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple lived in Thief River Falls and in 1962, they moved to Red Lake Falls, MN, where they have since resided.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and Bethany Beacons. She enjoyed walking, attending sports events and her part time work at Brents Food Pride, where she assisted with food samples. She also worked at Wilcox Furniture, Arctic Cat for a short period of time and Ryans Jack and Jill. She liked spending time and visiting with friends and family. In her later years, she enjoyed writing letters to family and friends.

Marlys is survived by three sons, Kerry (Pam Knott) Erickson, Red Lake Falls, Kevin Erickson, Andover, MN and Mark (Jackie) Erickson, Red Lake Falls, MN; 11 grandchildren, Dakota, Phoenix, Kayler, Tristan, Aaron, Kayleigh, Dane, Brianna, Alex, Chandler and Carson; brother, Larry (Ashlyn) Hall, Minot, ND; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Dennis, May 13, 2004, parents and brother, Harold Hall.
