Martha Gagner, 86, died on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, MN with Father Antony Fernando presiding. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne, MN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer service on Tuesday evening and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Martha Woehle Gagner, 86, died Thursday, March 6th, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Martha Woehle Gagner was born November 8th, 1921 at Beaulieu, MN the daughter of Henry and Mary (Dorpinghaus) Weohle. She grew up on a farm near Fosston and was baptized in Beaulieu and confirmed at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fosston.

On June 25, 1940, she was united in marriage to Arthur Gagner in Bagley, MN. They lived on a small farm near Terrebonne most of their married life. Martha was, as she said, just a homemaker , wife to Art and mother to 13 children. Art and Martha lived in Brooks from 1981 until 2003 at which time they moved to Sunset Apartments in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Martha loved Bible study, reading, cooking and entertaining. In later life, she was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved being around her family and friends, especially during the yearly family vacations with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Loving family members include her sister, Sister Aquina Whoele, of Mount Saint Benedict in Crookston; nine sons and two daughters, Gary (Mireille) Gagner of Minneapolis, MN, Dale (Carol) Gagner of Ogilvie, MN, Dennis (Sue) Gagner of Burbank, WA, Russell (JoAnn) Gagner of Hugo, MN, Gloria (Richard) Ophus of Hugo, MN, Vern Gagner of Mound MN, Richard Gagner and friend Debra Rahn of Ham Lake, MN, Donna (Ron) Moses of Albuquerque, NM, Nick Gagner and friend Sheila Jaster of Hutchinson, MN, Roger (Renee) Gagner of Lonsdale, MN, and Lauren (Deb) Gagner of Minneapolis, MN; 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Arthur Gagner; twin duaghters, Elizabeth and Catherine; parents; daughter-in-law, Janice Gagner; granddaughter, Kimberly Gagner; and brothers and sisters, Mary Woehle, Clara Sommers, Ben Woehle, Frances Klein, Catherine Bauer, Joe Woehle, Romeo Woehle
