Martha Hultstrand, 45, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 in a farm accident near Milton, ND.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Hegland Lutheran Church in Strandquist, MN with Reverend Philip Rokke officiating. Burial will be in Soper Cemetery, rural Fairdale, ND at 6:30 P.M. on Saturday.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Martha Beth Haugen was born on January 31, 1957 in Karlstad, MN, the daughter of Daryl Ibsen and Lucille Alvina (Nowacki) Haugen. She attended school in Strandquist, MN, graduating from Strandquist High School in 1975. Following High School she attended AFL Bible School in Minneapolis, MN and NDSU in Fargo, ND, majoring in Home Economics and Music.

On July 24, 1982 Martha was united in marriage to Randy James Hultstrand at Hegland Lutheran Church.

Martha was involved with the Home School Association and Shiloh Christian School. She student taught at Carrington, ND and began her teaching career in Robinson, ND. She was a homemaker and teacher of their children and also helped on their farm near Milton, ND. The couple lived in Devils Lake, ND for a time before moving to Bismarck, ND where they have lived for the last five years.

She enjoyed Home Schooling their children. Her love for the Lord shined brightly at home and in the community. Marthas joy for family love and unity seemed boundless.

Martha is survived by her husband, Randy of Bismarck, ND; four children: Amy, Angela, Alyda and Aaron, all at home; her mother, Lucille Haugen of Strandquist, MN; one brother, Curtis (Marilyn) Haugen of St. Louis Park, MN; two sisters: Deborah (Jerome) Boen of Strandquist, MN and Rebekah (Luis) Valdez of Maple Grove, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elizabeth; and her father, Daryl Haugen.
