Martin Lyle Cote passed away on July 14, 2021 at Northern Lights in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Thomas Puffe Officiating. Burial will be held at Immanuel Cemetery at Wylie, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Martin Lyle Cote was born on December 21, 1959 in Red Lake Falls, MN son of Lyle and Gloria (Hinrichs) Cote. He attended school in Red Lake Falls, MN graduating class of 1978. Martin worked at American Crystal in Crookston, MN and most recently was employed at DAC in Thief River Falls, MN.

Martin enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by everyone who appreciated his kind and gentle heart, and sense of humor.

Marty is survived by his mother Gloria Cote of Thief River Falls, MN; sisters Barbara Cote of Columbus, OH, Tammy Cassavant of Thief River Falls, MN, nieces Jen (Brent) Burns, of Fargo, ND, Karly (Eric LaPlante) Cassavant of Detroit Lakes, MN, great nephew Jayce Burns of Fargo, ND and great niece Skylar LaPlante of Detroit Lakes, MN.

He is preceded in death by his father Lyle, brother Dale, and nephew Matthew.
