Marvin Gilbertson, 86, died on Monday, September 19, 2005 at his home in rural Thief River Falls, MN.

Marvin Gilbertson was born on June 18, 1919 in Ulen, MN, the son of Carl and Selma (Islandsrud) Gilbertson. He spent his early years in the Ulen area. Marvin went to the West Coast for a short time and returned to Thief River Falls to take over the Family Farm in Smiley Township, Pennington County, which he worked his entire life. Farming was Marvins life.

Marvin is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Alice, Clara and Bernice; and brothers, Art and Ruben.
