MARVIN CLARENCE PETERS of Oklee, MN, age 63, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Freedom Living Center in Oklee, MN. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN at 7:00 PM with Visitation one hour prior at the church. Pastor Robert Dahlen will be presiding. Burial will take place Friday, 10:00 AM, December 27, 2013 at Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Goodridge. Marvin was born on May 14, 1950 in Thief River Falls, MN; the son of Clarence Peters and Ruth A (Zinter). He was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grygla, MN. Marvin graduated from Goodridge High School in 1970. He then served in the United States Army stationed in various locations in the United States and Vietnam (1970-1977). Marvin worked at the Northern Pride Turkey Processing Plant for 17 years as a crop puller. He also worked on the family farm. Some of his favorite activities were puzzles, card playing and spending time in the woods cutting wood. Marvin is survived by his sisters, Edythe (Edy & Dick) Vavrichek of Rogers, MN, and Karen (Arnie) Njaa of Wannaska, MN; his brother, Galen (Jodi) Peters Goodridge, MN; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Daryl, Jason, Wendy, LaRae, Nathan, Christopher, Chelsey, Zachary, Joshua, Dustin; and many great- nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Ruth, his grandparents Herman & Ida Zinter; and William and Josephine Peters. May he rest in peace.
