Mary Carriere, 74, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Friday, April 30, 1999 at her home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at 1:30 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:30 prayer service and on Tuesday one hour prior to services all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls.

Mary Anna Cuno was born December 17, 1924 in rural Red Lake Falls to the late William and Gertrude (Starken) Cuno. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith at St. Marys Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. She attended elementary School here and graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls Class of 1942. After high school she attended teachers training and received her certificate. Over 9 years she taught in area schools. She was united in marriage to Arthur Carriere at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls on June 2, 1952. She enjoyed working at St. Joseph School hot lunch program from 1970 to 1994 over 24 years. She was an election judge for the city since 1968. She was currently active at the senior meal site serving as council president.
She was a wonderful mother who loved a good joke and whose door was always open for her family and friends. We will miss her greatly.
Mary is survived by her children Carol Larson (Rob) of Crookston, MN; James Carriere of Grygla, MN; Jerome Carriere (Angie) of Grafton, ND; John Carriere of Pelican Rapids, MN; Vincent Carriere of Red Lake Falls, MN; Rose Carriere (Fiance Robert Reed) of Warren, MN; Martha Newquist (James) of Crookston, MN: five grandchildren Matthew Lanctot (special friend Shana Haglund); Rae Anne Reinhart (Paul); Jarrod Lanctot, Nathan Carriere and Steven Newquist. One great-grandchild Allison Rae Reinhart. Many other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, son Steven, Infant daughter Monica; brothers Philip and Edward; sister-in-law Margaret Cuno.
