Mary C. Olson died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, Thief River Falls, MN

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, August 2, 2002 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, rural Oklee, MN, with Reverend Frank Ehling. Burial will be at 1:00 PM, Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston, MN

Visitation will be 4 " 8 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2002 at Johnson-Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:30 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church on Friday.

Mary Cora Demarais was born May 24, 1905 in Russia Township (rural Crookston), Polk County, MN, the daughter of Edmund and Caroline (Desrosier) Demarais.

On July 21, 1927, Mary was united in marriage to Conrad B. Olson at Crookston, MN. The couple farmed at rural Crookston for many years. Mary moved into Crookston for 12 years. She then lived with her daughter, Pearl for a few years. In 1996, Mary moved in with her daughter Clarice and son-in-law Orlan Stolaas, where she has since resided.

Mary was a member of Hafslo Lutheran Church, south of Crookston until it closed and then joined Trinity Lutheran Church, Crookston. She eventually transferred to Ebenezer Lutheran, rural Oklee, MN. Mary enjoyed canning, gardening, puzzles and plastic canvas work

Survivors include daughter, Clarice (Orlan) Stolaas, rural Oklee, MN: sons, Marvin, (Lorraine), Crookston, MN and Dean Olson, Erskine, MN; 16 granchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Melvina Berry, Crookston, MN and sister-in-law, Vivian Demarais, Crookston, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Conrad, in 1982, daughter, Pearl Delude in 1997, grandson, Kevin Olson in 1973, sisters, Sophie Demarais, Lena Larson, Zelda Simmons, Marion Simmons, Lizzie Solie and 2 sisters in infancy, brothers, Joe, Lewie and Fred Demarais, daughter-in-law, Mona Olson, in 1992 and son-in-law, Clifford Delude, in 1992.
