Mary Ann Solie 53 of Crookston passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her parents' home near Red Lake Falls, MN surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gentilly, MN with Father Vincent Miller Officiating and Deacon Denny Bivens. Burial will be held at Hafslo Cemetery near Crookston, MN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Mary Ann Solie was born August 23, 1965 in Red Lake Falls, MN daughter of Richard and Ernestine (Currie) Klipping. She was raised in the Catholic Faith. She attended Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls graduating in 1983. She then attended UMC from 1984 and 1985 and received an Associate Degree in Accounting. She returned to UMC in 2000 and received her bachelor degree in Information Networking Management and in 2008 received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary.

On July 23, 1994 she was united in marriage to Allen Solie at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. To this union two sons were born Joshua and Jacob. Mary Ann worked at Red Lake County State Bank for a few years, Ecolab in Grand Forks for 25 years. She was also an online instructor at the University of Mary at Bismarck ND.

She loved to bake and was always trying a new recipe. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her sons and family. She was 6 Sigma Blackbelt and had Project Management Professional Certification. Mary Ann was strong in her Catholic Faith and rarely missed a Sunday Mass.

She is survived by her sons Joshua Allen Solie of Crookston, MN and Jacob Elton Solie of Crookston, MN; Parents Richard and Ernestine Klipping of Red Lake Falls, MN; siblings Sharon (Ron) Weiss of Red Lake Falls, MN, Betty (Kory) Solie of Fertile, MN, Marvin (Christine) Klipping of Red Lake Falls, MN and Susan (Jeremiah) Snedker of East Grand Forks, MN; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband Allen Solie in 2009; brother Mark Klipping, grandparents Josephine and Lawrence Currie and Mildred and Eldon Klipping.
