Melonie Dawn Fayette, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, at the age of 43.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Pastor Kevin MacLean officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service.

Melonie Fayette was born on November 03, 1976 in Grand forks, ND to Laurie Twete (Stigen) and Terry Fayette.

Melonie was baptized at Evangelical Covenant church in Thief River Falls, MN and confirmed at Redeemer church in Thief river falls, MN.

Melonie attended elementary school at Knox Elementary, attended Franklin middle school and graduated from Lincoln high school in Thief River Falls, MN.

For the past two years Melonie held a position at the Thief River Falls Care Center as a cook.

Melonie's hobbies included reading Stephen King books, cooking and baking for her friends and family, going on shopping trips in Grand Forks, listening to music (especially Eminem and Rihanna), and of course spending time with her grandbabies, family, and friends.

Melonie has one daughter Chloe Fayette who was born November 14, 1997 born in Thief River Falls, MN. Melonie has two grandbabies who she absolutely adored - Connor "Bubba" Fayette born on November 8 ^th , 2013 and Jameson "Pookie Bear" McGraw who was born on April 20, 2017. She is also survived by her father, Terry Fayette and her mother, Laurie Twete (Len).  Melonie also has one sister Emilie Fayette.

Melonie is proceeded in death by Cora Stigen and Ernest Stigen as well as Ann Fayette and Michael Fayette (Great grandparents); Christopher Fayette (brother); Nicholas Lannoye, Gordy Hasby, Lonnie Stigen, Cliff Stigen, Gregory Stigen (Uncles); and Susie Stigen-Axtell (Aunt).
