Michael Box, 55 died on Saturday, November 05, 2011 at his residence with his loving wife Linda at his side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Country Faith Church, Clearbrook, Minnesota (one mile south of Clearbrook to Co. Hwy. 6, then two miles west) with Pastor Larry Dorman officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, MN. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the church.

Michael Leslie Box was born on March 3, 1956 in Highland Park, Michigan the son of David Paul and Jewel Mary (Cannon) Box. As a young boy he moved to his father's place of birth in Winfield, Alabama. He worked in the plastic's industry, landscaping and construction for a number of years.

Michael received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1982.

Michael was united in marriage to Linda (Hegge) Ventura on December 27, 1998 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. They lived in Oklee, Minnesota and then St. Cloud, Minnesota where he interned at Place Of Hope. The couple then moved to Bismarck, North Dakota where they ministered at Teen Challenge of North Dakota, a program for drug and alcohol addiction.

They returned to live in Oklee, Minnesota in 2009 where they have continued to reside.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda of Oklee; step-sons, Jason Ventura of Oklee, Minnesota and Jeremy Ventura of Bismarck, North Dakota and his children, Skylar and Isaac; step-daughters, Rachelle (Brad) Thiessen and their children, Kyle and Evan, Christina (Doug) Woodbridge of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and their children, Sarah and Ben, Patricia (Reg) Francis of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada and their children, Teagan, Dane and Patrinia; daughter, Brooke Beker of Brilliant, Alabama and her children, Colton, Janna and Lexie; brother, David Box of Winfield, Alabama; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and step-son, Eric Ventura.
