Michael Englund, 61 of Warroad, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

The service to celebrate Mike's life will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Warroad Baptist Church (34649 County RD 5) with Frank Norling officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Burial will be held at Falun Cemetery, rural Roseau, MN.

Michael Jon Englund was born February 12, 1961 son of Melvin and Polly (Gram) Englund in East Grand Forks, MN. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Log Church East of Grygla. He attended Grygla High School graduating in 1979.

Growing up he worked for local farmers Wally and Karol Byklum, Tom, Danny and Ronnie Waling and Ralph Smith Construction.

He went to work in Rocksprings, WY in the spring of 1980 for HB&R Hot Oil Service for one year. He then moved to Watford City, ND and worked for Trails End Ranch for Al Powers, and for Ernie Hellickson for three years. He moved back to Minnesota and started working for Marvin Windows where he worked 39 years until his retirement.

August of 1985 he was united in marriage to Lynae Langevin. To this union two daughters were born, Jessica Marie and Jamie Lynn.

April of 2013 he was united in marriage to Lynette Otto Brateng. They lived on a farm south of Warroad where they farmed and raised cattle. They also raised a garden, chickens and a llama and horses.

Mike was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed trapping, reloading shells, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife Lynette, daughters Jessica (Spencer) Lahr of Darwin, MN, Jamie (James Elwood) Englund of Thief River Falls, MN; 3 grandchildren Bexleigh and Benelli Lahr and Trevor Johnson; step-daughter Karlea Ellenson, step-grandchildren Bailee Ellenson and Addison Brintnell of Warroad, MN; step-son Kelly (Kelsey) Brateng, step-grandchildren Alexia, Tanner, Aubrielle, & Everly of Thief River Fall, MN; siblings Robert (Wendy) Englund of Grygla, MN, Margie (John) Jones of Mounds View, MN and Stacy (Kris) Petrich of Thief River Falls, MN; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother and father, Polly and Melvin, grandmother Clara Gram, grandparents Swan and Olga Englund, uncle Duane Gram and Arnold Englund.
