Michael Francis Hart, 75 of Lakeland, FL passed away on February 11, 2021 at Good Shephard Hospice House in Auburndale, FL.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery of New Solum Township, rural Newfolden, MN.

Michael Francis Hart was born June 12, 1945 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Lawrence and Lorraine (Hammersmith) Hart. He attended Oslo High School, Oslo, MN graduating with the class of 1963.

On June 6, 1964, Mike was united in marriage to Jean Ione Halvorson at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Manvel, ND.

Mike felt a calling to minister to others about the Lord and wrote a brief pamphlet regarding salvation that he freely gave to others. Mike had an inquiring mind and sought ways to invent ways of doing things more efficiently, whether it related to welding, designing a roller/stamp to imprint a pattern on concrete driveways or developing a device to bait a fishing hook without touching the bait. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with his wife, his two sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean, who passed away on January 4, 2021 and his parents Lawrence and Lorraine Hart.

Survivors include sons: Richard Hart, Mulberry, FL and Christopher (Carolyn) Hart, Mulberry, FL; grandchildren: Beth, Katie, Zach, Mulberry, FL; great-grandchildren: Jed, Ki, Annie, Mulberry, FL; siblings: Laurice Schiller, Carlsbad, CA, Karyn Kibler, Mesa, AZ, Judith Schiller, Olympia, WA, Mary Chase, Priest River, ID; other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
