Michael Dean Lefebvre, 67, passed away at his Nevada home on September 18, 2016.

Funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN at 7:00PM Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Visitation will at 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday.

Michael was born December 8, 1948, to Alveda and Louise (Charest) Lefebvre, of Oklee, MN. He graduated from Oklee High School in 1966, and then attended Thief River Falls Votec in welding.

He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in the DMZ Korea from 1968-1969 where he served in the Injin Scouts.

Michael married Margaret (Peggy Manske) March 21, 1970. They had two children, Michele and Kyle.

They raised their family in Plummer, MN, where they owned and operated East Side Service from 1972 to 1998. Michael was a member of the American Legion and a 24 year veteran firefighter with the Plummer Fire Department, where he was chief 1978-1980.

Michael is survived by Peggy, his beloved wife of 46 years, daughter Michele (Trevor) Halvorson and son Kyle (Sarah) Lefebvre. He is also survived by grandchildren Jack and Marley Halvorson and Megan, Connor and Evan Lefebvre. The family enjoyed many happy summers at their lake cabin over the last 30 years.

Michael is also survived by three sisters: Eileen Walsh, Carol (Lee) Hagelee, and Marilyn (Donovan) Stoneouse and by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Donna Champagne, Audrey Jaeger and Janice Freitag and brothers; James and William Lefebvre.
