Michael Majeres of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his home in Red Lake Falls surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Dorothy Catholic Cemetery at Dorothy, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, from 4 – 7 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Michael Joseph Majeres Jr, was born on August 22 ^nd , 1936 the son of Michael Sr. and Cecilia (Schmitz) Majeres. He grew up in Red Lake Falls MN and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1956. Michael Joined the Army National Guard in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1964. He worked for Deboer Farms in Crookston and then took a job with Detroiter Mobile Homes (Homark) in Red Lake Falls and worked there for 30+ years. After his retirement from Homark he kept busy with maintenance at the Altru Clinic and mowing for the Catholic Church of Red Lake Falls.

Michael met the love of his life Marlene Wald, and they married on August 5 ^th , 1961. To this union they had 8 children. Together they loved to bowl and play cards with friends. You could always find Mike out in his garage tinkering with something or in the yard on his mower. He loved to watch football, Hockey and baseball. He loved his MN Gophers. Mike was a volunteer with the Red Lake Falls Ambulance Service and the Blue Line Club. He was very active in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, as a lector, communion minister and with home bound ministry. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. The Majeres family was the Knights of Columbus Family of the Year in 2011.

He loved the Lord, his wife and family. There was always a happy smile when his children and grandchildren came for a visit.

He is survived by his wife Marlene of 55 yrs., children Margaret (Joe) Fox, Blaine MN, Michelle (Steve) Hulst, Crookston MN, David (Shawn) Majeres, Thief River Falls MN, Mary Jo (Jim) Peltier East Grand Forks MN, Steven Majeres, Elk River MN, Greg (Sylvia) Majeres, Plummer MN, Son In-law Randy Sauve, Red Lake Falls MN; Grandchildren Jonathan (Sheila) and Ashley (Conrad) Sauve, Emily Fox, Megan (Derek) Brault, Hunter Hulst, Mariah Carr, Nathanial (Brittany) and Colton Peltier, Ihle Majeres, Shawna, Ethan, Vanessa, and Nickolas Majeres. Step Great Grandchildren Elaina and Jameson Dombeck; Brothers and Sisters Don(Mary Jean) Majeres, Barbara Dufault, Ted (Joan) Majeres, Yvonne (John) Garman. Sister In-Laws Joyce Grabanski and Marilyn Wald, Brother In-Law Victor (Kathy) Wald.

He is preceded in death by Infant son Joseph Majeres, daughter Diane Sauve, infant grandson Christopher Majeres, Parents Michael and Cecilia Majeres and in-laws Mike and Christine Wald. Brother Gerald Majeres. Brother and Sister In-Laws Richard Dufault, Jerilyn Majeres, Pete Wald, Robert Grabanski, Allan Wald, Richard and Ione Wald, Betty Ann Nettum.
