Midge Green of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the age of 71.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service.

Midge Ann Burkholder was born on July 1, 1950 in Gary, MN, the 5 ^th of 7 children born to James and Ruby Burkholder.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Midge attended school in Gary, MN, and graduated from Gary High School in 1968.  Following high school she attended Moorhead Technical College, graduating with a degree in Medical Transcription.

In 1971 Midge was united in marriage to Harold Green at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Together they made their home in Thief River Falls and raised their children, Stephanie and Paul.

For 40 plus years Midge worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls.  Midge was a long-time fixture at Arctic Cat – everyone called her "Mom" and looked forward to the baked goods she would make and bring in.  She made many close friendships over the years which she greatly valued.

Midge loved baking, sewing, reading, puzzles, card games with the family, and outdoor gatherings.  Most of all, she loved Christmas and her family.  She spent many hours preparing food and other items for her family and friends.  Midge was someone you could go to anytime for anything.  She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her cat Smokey.

Midge is survived by her loving husband, Harold of 50 years; children, Stephanie (Dan) Kormick and Paul Green; grandchildren, Tyler (Lydia Hagman) Kormick, Wyatt Kormick, Chaz Green, Brady Green, and Rex Green; great-grandchildren, Aiden Kormick, Ellie Kormick, and Charlotte Green; sisters, Kay (John) Cory, Sharon Dahle, and JoDee (Rick) Loll; uncle, Frank Burkholder; sisters-in-law, Catherine Burkholder and Sharon Burkholder; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rex, Dennis, and James Burkholder.
