Mike Burbage, 47, died Saturday, March 8, 2003 at his residence near Brooks, MN.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 14, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN with Reverend Robert Paulson officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Oklee.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee and also one hour prior to services at the Church on Friday

Mike Burbage was born March 22, 1955 at St. Paul Hospital in St. Paul, MN son of Ernest and Yvonne (Johnson) Burbage. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Paul and Confirmed at Clear Lake, MN. He attended School at Hancock Elementary School, then Central High School both in St. Paul Graduating in 1973. On April 27, 1991 he was united in marriage to Dawn Renee Plante at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee. The couple lived in New Brighton where he worked at Huot Manufacturing. In 1994 they moved to rural Brooks and he started work at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls where he has since been employed.

Mike enjoyed Deer Hunting with family, gardening, canning, cooking, being out in his yard, and spending time on their computer. He thought of his nieces and nephews as his own children and enjoyed the time spent with his dog Daisy. Mike was proud to be a member of the NRA and very proud to be employed at Arctic Cat.

He is survived by his loving wife Dawn of rural Brooks; mother Yvonne Burbage of Wausa, NE; sister Deborah Burbage of Woodbury, MN; brothers Ernest Burbage III (Christy) of Dallas, TX; Timothy Burbage (Sarah) of Woodbury, MN and Patrick Burbage of St. Paul, MN; 3 nephews and 4 nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father Ernest Burbage Jr., step mother Lynette Burbage, one uncle, one niece, grandparents Ruth and Ivan Johnson and Ruth and Ernest Burbage Sr.
